Kim Skaggs-Taglia

Hi, I’m Kim Skaggs (Taglia) and I am the Senior Web Developer with Tag Marketing. I joined my brothers in this family business back in 2015, after earning my Associate Degree – Application Programmer at College of DuPage. I have been focusing on front-end and back-end web development ever since.

I have a background first in fine arts (drawing and painting), and then in the print industry. But life rarely goes as planned and I found myself returning to school to become a software engineer. I graduated at the top of my class with a 4.0 G.P.A., but rather than pursuing my bachelor’s degree, I found myself becoming more and more interested in building websites.

Curiosity got the best of me and I started teaching myself HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP. At about that time Carm and Chris approached me with an offer I couldn’t refuse: join the family business and start building and developing websites. My brothers became my mentors, teaching me everything they know about design, web development, copywriting, SEO, and much more. I can say that every single day I learn something new.

Over the last several years I have built hundreds of WordPress and Bootstrap websites, a reservation system built on PHP, multilingual websites, and eCommerce websites. My skills have grown beyond web development as I have designed and implemented many eBlasts, landing pages, and social marketing content.

I love what I do because web development is always changing, giving me the opportunity to continue to learn. I’m never bored, and I’m always fascinated when something I create becomes something our clients use to make their business better. Every time our clients succeed in reaching a goal or milestone, I feel a sense of pride. That’s my drug of choice.
